About OHC PLLC

Practical support for organizations doing meaningful work.

OHC PLLC was created to support public-purpose and mission-driven organizations working to strengthen their communities. Our work sits at the intersection of funding, policy, & compliance, and organizational strategy, with an emphasis on practical solutions that can actually be implemented.

Our Approach

Mission matters. So does practicality.

Strong organizations have to balance mission and community impact with financial realities, operational demands, regulatory requirements, and long-term sustainability. OHC PLLC approaches projects with an understanding of all sides of that equation.

We look beyond what sounds good on paper to consider what is financially responsible, operationally realistic, and sustainable over time. Our goal is to develop strategies that advance organizational and community priorities while making sound business sense.

We work alongside your organization, not outside of it.

OHC PLLC is designed to function as an extension of the organizations we support. We take the time to understand your people, priorities, constraints, and community so that our work reflects the realities in which you operate.

We don’t simply deliver recommendations and walk away. Depending on the engagement, we can help research the issue, develop the strategy, coordinate the people involved, create the materials, and support implementation.

Our goal is to add experienced capacity where you need it while working within the organization you already have.

The Work We Support

OHC PLLC supports organizations working on projects and initiatives that serve a public, organizational, or community purpose. Our work is particularly well suited to efforts that require coordination across funding, policy, operations, communications, and stakeholder interests.

We support organizations at different stages of their work – from evaluating an idea and determining whether it is viable, to developing a project, securing funding, navigating requirements, building internal policies and processes, engaging stakeholders, and supporting implementation.

Our work may include:

  • Launching a new program or community initiative – developing the concept, identifying needs and partners, evaluating funding options, and building a practical implementation plan.
  • Pursuing and managing grant funding – identifying opportunities, developing competitive applications, establishing post-award processes, and supporting reporting, reimbursement, and compliance.
  • Building organizational policies and procedures – researching requirements and developing policies, procedures, governance documents, and internal processes that fit how the organization actually operates.
  • Planning for growth or organizational change – evaluating priorities, financial and operational considerations, stakeholder needs, and the steps required to move forward.
  • Engaging communities and stakeholders – planning public engagement, partnerships, communications, events, and other efforts that build understanding and participation.
  • Building support for public-facing initiatives – helping organizations develop the case for a project, anticipate stakeholder concerns, communicate complex issues clearly, engage affected communities, and prepare for consideration by boards, commissions, and other public decision-makers.
  • Moving a complex project forward – providing research, coordination, strategy, and project development when an initiative crosses departments, disciplines, funding sources, or stakeholder groups.

OHC PLLC is especially interested in work where community benefit and organizational realities must be considered together. We bring a practical perspective to projects that require organizations to balance public purpose with financial responsibility, operational capacity, regulatory requirements, and long-term sustainability.
